Project Overview
• Design, Supply, Lifting, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning: Electrical (essential and non-essential supplies to all equipment, generators, UPS and isolated power for theatres); HVAC (Split Air-conditioning, extract and fresh-air fans, theatre air with HEPA filtration and pressure control, isolation rooms, ward ventilation); plumbing and medical gases (oxygen, medical air, vacuum), hot water, and medical waste drainage; fire protection (Fire hose-reels, alarms, smoke control); ELV (nurse call, CCTV, access control)
Scope
MEP Engineering Consultancy and Contracting (Design-and-Build)
Outcome
KEY CHALLENGES: • Power or air failure in critical areas such as theatres is unacceptable. • Infection control during work next to live wards. • Strict standards for medical gases and ventilation. SOLUTIONS: • Redundant generators and UPS with automatic changeover. • Sealed work zones, phased shutdowns and pre-agreed tie-in windows. OUTCOMES: • Completed with no unplanned shutdowns in live areas. • All critical systems passed witness tests first time.
